All schools in Belleville, Prince Edward County and Quinte West will be closed to students and staff today, January 26, 2026, due to the high snow accumulation and poor driving conditions. Students and staff should not go to school.
Secondary schools will post messages about changes to exam/FCA schedules.
These closures also affect before- and after-school childcare programs hosted in schools.
The decision to close schools was made for safety purposes in consultation with Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, Limestone District School Board, Tri-Board Student Transportation Services and detailed weather forecasting information.
